Given that some drivers of how humans process information and use it in delivering targets are now understood, it allows us to move on and consider the role of language, communication and interaction in an IT setting. Language serves as a communication and interface medium. g. the syntax, semantics, pragmatics, are actively seen as mechanisms by which the individual can be allied to the IT system. For instance turn-taking is a pragmatic phenomena which is routinely accepted when communicating via electronic medium (if everyone tried to communicate at the same time, at least part of the message would be lost).
